Zeek: A Jewish Journal of Thought and Culture

Gene Feldman is, primarily, an oceanographer at NASA/Goddard Space Flight Center involved in satellite-derived ocean color data. The author and co-author of numerous publications, Gene has also contributed to a large number of programs including The Jason Project, Public Broadcasting, the BBC, the Discovery Channel, the National Geographic Society, the Cousteau Society, and the Smithsonian Institution.

We found this image online, while searching for pictures of shofars. We loved the mixture of determination on the kid's face, the staged nature of the photograph (candles?), and the general, lovable ridiculousness of our Jewish rituals. Shana Tova -- the Editors.
